About the Role:
As a pivotal member of the team at INTERNATIONAL POWER (AUSTRALIA) PTY LTD, the Environmental Sustainability Manager will spearhead the implementation of the Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG) strategy in alignment with the overarching policies of the organization. This role emphasizes the environmental, climate, and circular economy dimensions of our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mitigate project risks from an ESG standpoint, ensuring compliance while maximizing positive impacts and enhancing project value through exemplary ESG performance.
- Collaborate with the Head of Sustainability and Social Performance to effectively implement the company's ESG policies and strategies, including the formulation of climate adaptation and decarbonization initiatives.
- Proactively identify and manage ESG risks associated with company projects through consistent data collection, monitoring, and evaluation, thereby safeguarding the organization from significant environmental and social risks.
- Coordinate with various business units to integrate ESG considerations into project acquisition, due diligence, budgeting, and bidding processes.
- Ensure that all sites and projects adhere to sustainability standards, industry practices, and the commitments of INTERNATIONAL POWER (AUSTRALIA) PTY LTD.
