Job Overview

The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistics operations across Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on warehouse management and secondary transportation.

This role ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service at the lowest operational cost while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage LSP(s)/3PL to meet operational key performance indicators (KPIs). Lead regular performance reviews with 3PL partners and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Manage inbound and outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and warehouse safety compliance
  2. Oversee day-to-day operations of 3PL-managed warehouses across Australia and New Zealand. Ensure compliance with local transport regulations and FMCG-specific handling requirements.
  3. Deliver on budget expectations and identify cost-saving opportunities through sustainable continuous improvement without compromising service quality.
  4. Lead risk assessments and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions.
  5. Stakeholder management – Business, International transport team, Inventory team, Finance & Planning
  6. Deployment of global network modeling tools
  7. Route to market optimization
  8. Develop deep functional capability in Operations
  9. Partner with Customer Supply Chain to ensure business priorities are delivered in Logistics Operations
  10. Provide analysis, insight, and predictive measures into Logistics performance and business impact
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse operations and LSP management, preferably in FMCG and with 3PL management experience
  3. In-depth knowledge of demand and supply chain principles and 3PL/LSP management.
  4. Ability to build strong business partnerships and foster external collaboration
  5. Significant experience with Lean practices; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred
  6. Understanding of import/export logistics, freight forwarding, and dangerous goods regulations.
  7. Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan)
  8. Exceptional MS Excel skills
  9. Understanding of ANZ logistics regulations and market dynamics
