Job Opportunity

As a Security Clearance Specialist, your role is to assess whether applicants are suitable to hold a security clearance. This involves gathering information from various sources, conducting interviews, processing assessments and providing recommendations.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating applicants' suitability for security clearances
  • Managing vetting assessments and delivering results within agreed timelines
  • Providing advice and recommendations to support assessment decisions
  • Demonstrating sound judgment in decision-making
  • Producing written work that is concise and accurately conveys the intended message

Essential requirements include:

  • Australian citizenship at the time of application
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Relevant qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in the area of expertise
