About the Role

The Electronics Systems Engineer will be responsible for the assembly, installation, set-to-work, commissioning, and testing of shipboard Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) in a tightly controlled environment.

The IPMS is a computer-based system with distributed intelligence, which provides control, regulating and monitoring of selected processes of the platform systems, auxiliary, electrical and damage control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and installation of IPMS components
  • Set-to-work and commissioning of IPMS systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting of IPMS systems
  • Familiarity with information technology, including Local Area Network, Servers
  • Proficient in technologies employed by IPMS, such as Engine Order Telegraph, Closed Circuit Television, Fire, Oil Mist and Gas Detection Systems, and General Alarm Systems
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Marine, Electronics or Instrument Technician
  • Installation and set-to-work of systems related to monitoring, surveillance, and control, ideally in a marine environment
  • Troubleshooting on equipment and assemblies
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings and assembly documents
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills
