About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Policy Officer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our international relations team, you will play a critical role in shaping Australia's international engagement on vocational education and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including Commonwealth agencies, state and territory governments, and international partners to leverage Australia's international engagement on VET to support strategic skills and foreign policy objectives.
  • Develop high-quality policy briefs, papers, and proposals, as well as presentation materials and correspondence.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions and identify opportunities for international collaboration.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support for international visits, meetings, and delegations.
  • Support the development of the team's strategic priorities, outcomes, and work plans.
  • Identify and implement activities to support international policy objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High-level organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
