Melbourne Airport, Australia dnata catering Full time

Australian aviation is undergoing a significant expansion. As a Storesperson at dnata catering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient acceptance of inbound goods and stores destined for use in the catering area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure goods required by the catering team are available on time and in the required quantities.
  • Verify delivered items are packed to acceptable hygiene and other specifications.
  • Ensure the availability of goods and rotation where necessary.
  • Manage the stock in the store effectively to ensure space is available for incoming goods as required.
  • Maintain the company's policy in relation to HACCP, QSAI, and WHS in accordance with Federal and State Government Regulations.
  • Ensure all perishable items delivered are colour coded and stamped with acceptance date.
  • Anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to manage or mitigate.
  • Manage relationships based on clear KPIs supported by an effective review mechanism that drives ongoing process and operational improvement.

Requirements:

  • Possess a high reach forklift license with experience desirable.
  • Good knowledge of basic HACCP/Food Safety and QSAI requirements preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Halal policies and procedures desirable.
  • Good knowledge of general Work Health and Safety.
  • General knowledge of warehousing and storage procedures.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
  • Availability to work 38 hours/week, as this role is a full-time permanent position.
