Job Description

Salary: AU$63,798 - AU$85,587 per annum (part-time fixed-term for 12 months)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced researcher to join our Centre for Future Materials as a Research Fellow. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on next-generation composite geotechnical engineering support elements with robust strength properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and systematic experimental studies
  • Develop a cohesive research profile under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor
  • Compile progress reports and participate in industry meetings
  • Establish and build collaborative research partnerships with various partners

Requirements:

  • Honours degree or higher qualification in textile engineering or manufacturing, or geotechnical/mining/civil engineering with manufacturing experiences
  • Relevant experience in advanced composite manufacturing, pultrusion, braidtrusion, vacuum infusion, injection moulding, multifunctional composites, compression moulding, extruder designing, polymer resin infusion, and other composite manufacturing expertise
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders
