Child Therapist

The role of a child therapist involves providing evidence-based therapy services to support children and their families in maximising their independence and participation.
Duties:- Conducting assessments to determine goals and areas of need for the children
- Providing information, education, and support to clients and their families
- Developing functional, routine-based goals with clients and their families
- Delivering therapy interventions and resources tailored to each child's needs
- Reviewing progress and setting new priorities in collaboration with clients and their families
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current registration with AHPRA
- Possession of counselling skills and knowledge of therapeutic interventions
- Experience in completing risk assessments and mental health assessments is desirable
- Compliance with necessary checks and certifications including AHPRA registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, First Aid Training, and possession of a Driver's License and Vehicle
