About the Role:
As an Academic Governance Specialist with the RACGP, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and standards of the RACGP Fellowship programs. Your responsibilities will include reviewing applications, providing recommendations for Fellowship, and contributing to policy development and implementation. You will also be required to respond to queries about policy and training standards, providing oversight and quality assurance in assessments and exams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and assess candidate applications and suitability for Fellowship, providing feedback on documentation and making recommendations for recognition of prior learning and training completion.
• Chair and participate in panels addressing academic misconduct, appeals, and policy variations, ensuring adherence to training standards.
• Contribute to the development of Public Reports for exams and provide feedback to candidates who do not pass, supporting their progression.
• Represent the Council of Censors at State Faculty activities, acting as a spokesperson on assessment-related issues and contributing to quality assurance in RACGP assessments.
Requirements:
• Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and current unrestricted specialist medical registration as a general practitioner with AHPRA.
• Extensive experience in RACGP assessments, training program delivery, and a strong understanding of the educational needs of GPs.
• Proven ability in high-level policy development and quality assurance in education, showcasing analytical and interpretative skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities, with a track record of engaging with senior management and councils effectively.
