Job Overview

The main purpose of this role is to develop and execute effective strategies and campaigns to help members achieve positive change in their workplaces.

This position involves a strong focus on recruiting members, developing delegates and workplace leaders, and promoting union objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a passion for social justice and community campaigning or experience working with progressive organisations or social justice causes.

You should also have the ability to inspire, engage, develop and lead people to take action through positive conversations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective campaigns and strategies to assist members.
  • Recruit and develop members, delegates and workplace leaders.
  • Meet key union objectives.
Requirements
  • Commitment to union values and principles.
  • High level verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and organise, build relationships, motivate and develop individuals or groups.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and organise work and achieve outcomes.
  • Well-developed written communication skills.
  • Current Drivers License.
