Job Overview

The AFP seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major infrastructure projects or programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, encompassing planning, procurement, public works submissions, construction and commissioning phases.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of accommodation solutions, principles, standards, and policies.
  • Manage risk, scope, time, cost, and quality across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Support and provide input into internal and external funding bids, business cases, and high-level reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team member capability through sharing skills, knowledge, and expertise.
  • Manage project procurement activities and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Provide expert advice on Commonwealth procurement and delivery methodologies.
  • Pursue and nurture professional networks and collaborative working relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the AFP at various committee and stakeholder meetings.
