Job Title: Bus Operator

We are seeking a skilled and courteous bus operator to transport residents safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working with people and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Key responsibilities include:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting residents to various destinations, engaging with them to encourage participation in outings, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

  • Put equipment into the bus and fold/unfold mobility aids
  • Stay with residents to allow staff to attend to other needs
  • Engage with residents to encourage participation in outings
  • Deliver a high level of customer service

Requirements:

  • A current LR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less
  • Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desired)
  • Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel)
  • An NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • A First Aid & CPR Certificate (desired)
  • A Seasonal Flu Vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
  • Covid vaccination evidence
  • A complete police check
