About the Opportunity:

The Security Architect will play a key role in ensuring the implementation of secure architecture designs, including the application of all required security controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering technical guidance and leadership to IT and OT teams in the areas of cyber security, system security, and secure by design development.
  • Strengthening the business case review process to ensure conformance to a secure architecture design.
  • Leading evaluation teams to identify the appropriate technologies for successful migration to the Cloud.
  • Developing security baseline requirements and adapting requirements as new technologies and solutions emerge.
  • Leading architecture security reviews and endorsing compliant proposed solutions.
  • Ensuring new/emerging security technologies can be leveraged for adoption.

About You:

To be successful in the role, you'll have architecture or security engineering experience in a similar complex corporate environment (or service provider).

You will also have some of the following:

  • A recognized university degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience with solution and security architecture.
  • Experience evaluating security vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies for networking systems.
  • Experience supporting and executing cyber and risk management framework requirements.
  • Practical experience in cloud security architecture design for IaaS platforms.
  • Threat modelling and control selection.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • Technical certifications (e.g., CCNP, ITIL).
