Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Coordinator to oversee the setup, management, and removal of temporary traffic control schemes. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the safe management of work zones or events for our customers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and managing temporary traffic control schemes
  • Operating in a team environment and assisting all team members
  • Ensuring the safe management of work zones or events for our customers

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A stable work history with good attendance and punctuality
  • The ability to pass a high-level medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening, English literacy and numeracy tests, and demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver's license
  • A clean criminal record and the ability to pass background checks
  • The ability to read, follow, and comprehend road traffic diagrams, regulations, and instructions in English
  • The ability to clearly communicate by radio in English
  • The ability to repeatedly lift 10kg

Working Conditions

You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, often alongside active roads, highways, and freeways. You may also work on bridges and overpasses.

Important Information

All staff are responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and reporting any unsafe conditions to their supervisor. You must arrive for duty in clean and presentable clothing, clean boots, and properly maintained personal protective equipment (PPE).
