About the Opportunity

The Biological Imaging Resources Laboratory (BRIL) at the University of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled specialist to support the activities in our advanced preclinical imaging facility.

As a Biological Imaging Resource Specialist, you will work closely with other facility staff to contribute to the overall management and operation of multiple imaging instruments and related activities of this core research support facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting multidisciplinary research in a biological resources imaging facility
  • Operating scientific equipment and managing associated IT systems
  • Managing experimental techniques and data processing methods
  • Working closely with other facility staff to contribute to the overall management and operation of multiple imaging instruments

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma relevant to BRIL's activities, ideally in biomedical imaging, biomedical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in medical sciences, biosciences, or imaging research
  • A willingness to work with preclinical animal models and radiation-generating instruments
