Job Summary

MacKillop Family Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intake Specialist/Family Therapist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dual role, combining intake and family therapy skills to support families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with families referred to our Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW) program, providing support and guidance throughout the intake process.
  • Collaborate with families to understand their needs and develop a plan to address their challenges.
  • Provide family therapy utilizing the FFT-CW model to client families, with a focus on reducing risk and promoting family stability.
  • Work closely with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve program goals.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate training in family therapy and systemic thinking is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with families and children, particularly in a child welfare context.
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills, with the ability to work with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Valid NSW Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check.
