About The Role
This key leadership position manages a medium-sized team of machine learning engineers and data scientists.
The successful candidate will have experience in recruiting, building, and retaining diverse high-performing teams.
They will coach others, recognise strengths, and encourage personal development.
The role requires strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a medium-sized team (4-7) of ML engineers and data scientists
- Recruit, build, and retain a diverse and high-performing team
- Coach others, recognise strengths, and encourage personal development
- Act to resolve issues preventing team effectiveness
- Represent the team within our Technology organisation
- Develop, test, and maintain Python code
About You
We seek a strong leader with depth of understanding in machine learning and software development.
The ideal candidate has some or all of the following attributes:
- Multiple years of formal people management experience
- A track record of owning complex big data and machine learning problems
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
- 3+ years of professional experience using Python deep learning libraries
- Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure
