Aquatic Centre Coordinator

The role of Aquatic Centre Coordinator is a dynamic position that requires an individual with strong leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading a team of professionals, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the aquatic centre.
  • Manage staff to ensure adequate site supervision and review staff training and qualifications to ensure currency.
  • Develop and implement effective rostering strategies to ensure safety requirements are met and budget is managed efficiently.
  • Maintain the facility's plant, equipment, and buildings in accordance with the asset management system, policy, and plan.
  • Review and update operational policies and procedures to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Collaborate with the Manager Of Aquatics on strategic growth initiatives and work closely with fellow Aquatic Coordinators to support planning and program development across the region.
Requirements:
  • Possess current Pool Lifeguard qualification/licence (equivalent to SISSS00129).
  • Hold current First Aid and CPR qualifications (equivalent to HLTAID011 and HLTAID009).
  • Hold a Working with children blue card.
  • Have a Certificate IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service (equivalent to CPP41319), or be able to attain.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (equivalent to BSB40520).
  • Hold a Food Safety Supervision certificate (equivalent to SITSS00051) (not required for Wetside).
  • Have a qualification in the safe handling, transport, and storage of swimming pool chemicals (equivalent to CPPSPS3001).
  • Possess a current swimming teacher qualification/licence (equivalent to SISSS00112).
  • Hold a Teacher of Lifesaving Award.
  • Possess a White card.
