Cement Australia is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Shutdown Supervisor to join our Bulwer Island Team. This role will involve coordinating maintenance activities and directing internal and external maintenance personnel to effectively and efficiently perform all maintenance activities within scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee all shutdown activities to align with the scope and budget.
- Manage the planning and stores operations, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed.
- Contribute to the mid-term planning process.
- Coordinate, control, and ensure the implementation of WHSE plans for all maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Manage the planners and weekly planning activities to ensure the effective planning and execution of weekly maintenance activities and annual maintenance shutdowns.
- Support the reliability team in the execution of identified activities to reduce risk.
- Prioritize maintenance activities to support the annual maintenance budget requirements, managing the timing and spend to ensure accurate weekly forecast and cost control.
- Manage the stores and site inventory, keeping the cost of inventory on target and reducing it when required.
- Manage third-party contractors, ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures and managing third-party cost savings.
- Identify areas of improvement for direct reports, including mentoring the maintenance planners and supporting the development and performance of the maintainer operators.
- Comply with Cement Australia's shutdown management procedure to support a successful shutdown execution.
- Support the site project portfolio for execution during shutdowns.
- Responsible for the end-to-end Shutdown process with a focus on timely completion, within budget, and zero safety incidents.
- Tertiary education qualification (Mechanical or Electrical).
- Operational experience within the manufacturing, mining, or construction industry.
- Proven experience managing teams.
- Strong leadership and communications skills.
- Experience working with programs such as SAP, MS Projects, Microsoft Office Suite.
