Job Overview

As a General Practitioner with our team, you will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide high-quality healthcare services to diverse populations.

This role is ideal for a medical professional who possesses expertise in clinical practice and a collaborative spirit to work within a patient-centered care team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides medical services comparable to USG Facility Medical Officer during clinic hours and "after hours" coverage as necessary.
  • Obtains health history and performs physical examinations.
  • Diagnoses and directs counseling for each patient on a treatment plan.
  • Prescribes medication in accordance with state statute and professional practice guidelines.
  • Maintains a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen in accordance with established Health Information Management policies.
  • Assures continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis.
  • Provides excellent customer service to assist patients with their health care needs.
  • Arranges referrals for patients requiring services not offered on-site.
  • Reviews incoming reports, signs, dates, and follows up in a timely manner.
  • Assists in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
  • Participates in outside medical public relations functions.
  • Commits to continuous learning and adapting to the latest medical advancements.
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in clinical practice and a collaborative spirit to a patient-centered care team.
  • Strong communication skills and empathetic demeanor.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a general practice physician.
Required Qualifications:
  • License to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPR).
Physical Demands:
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Special Requirements:
  • US, UK, or Australian citizenship.
  • Ability to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the duration of the contract.
  • Valid passport and current passport during stay in Australia.
