The Allied Health Exercise Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of targeted exercise interventions across multiple sites. This role enables allied health assistants to deliver effective evidence-based programs tailored to specific resident cohorts.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Evidence-based program design and delivery for residents' mobility, strength and overall wellness.
- Developing comprehensive resources and training modules for allied health assistants on exercise program implementation aligned with organisational standards and clinical indicators.
- Monitoring program adherence, success rates and resident/client outcomes through robust systems and regular reports.
**Support for Allied Health Assistants (AHAs):**
Providing guidance and mentoring to AHAs to foster a culture of continuous improvement and enhance their skills in delivering high-quality exercise programs.
**Exercise Space Management:**
Overseeing the functionality and optimisation of internal exercise spaces to ensure equipment is well-maintained, up-to-date and accessible to residents/clients.
**Resident-Centred Outcomes:**
Developing and implementing exercise interventions to address diverse resident health needs and aspirations, promoting improved physical and mental wellbeing.
**Wellness Program Development:**
Supporting the expansion of wellness initiatives by integrating innovative exercise and wellness programs tailored to aged care settings.
**Professional Development and Compliance:**
Maintaining high standards in exercise physiology and aged care through emerging trends, research and best practices, ensuring ongoing professional growth and development.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field.
- Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing exercise programs for older adults in aged care, rehabilitation or similar settings.
- Proven leadership skills, particularly in mentoring and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
Ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills to ensure seamless delivery and continuous improvement.
