Job Summary

As a Data Product Owner, you will be responsible for partnering with the data engineering and senior leadership team to deliver on our mission. You will work with product leadership to define a product strategy with your cross-functional counterparts to deliver on goals. You will own aspects of our product verticals such as business dashboards, reporting, web widgets, data, and other core business features for Hapana that help the system help more people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve and fulfill business objectives
  • Continually monitor and optimize the performance of the data product
  • Collaborate with data engineering and the data analyst to ensure that the product scales effectively, handles performance issues, and meets the demands of users
  • Complete business scope documents and define user personas for individual products
  • Advocate for impactful changes and future strategies to help achieve our goals
  • Balance short-term progress with long-term objectives
  • Establish strong relationships with Customer Success, Engineering, Product, and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Determine users' needs, create technical documentation, and organize supporting content for products
  • Study product samples and collaborate with product designers and developers
  • Act as the escalation point for client issues requiring product change resolution (excluding standard problem escalation process)
  • Interact with key suppliers and partners
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Over 3 years of experience in product management within consumer web or SaaS products
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data analysis, data governance, and how to extract value from data
  • Familiarity with databases, SQL, and big data tools is an advantage
  • Experience with product management techniques, including backlog management, defining user stories, and working with Agile or Scrum frameworks
  • Proven API/Integration experience and comfortable in reading API documentation and diving into technical details
  • Has hands-on experience building integrations
  • Experience in developing products using quantitative data

  • A proven track record of advocating for and supporting the team
  • Experience in designing aesthetically pleasing products
