About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics unit, responsible for leading data collection, management, and analysis within the organisation.

As the Data Engineer, you will manage and prepare data for usability, move data from source systems into reportable data models, and oversee day-to-day data feed, ingestion, pipeline, and modelling tasks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data management solutions for Microsoft Fabric
  • Develop data loaders to load data into Microsoft Fabric
  • Manage model degradation and identify opportunities for improved data analysis
  • Ensure data is available for downstream reporting and analytics
  • Filter, tag, join, parse, and normalise data sets for use in analytics models
  • Manage model degradation / ensure models remain predictive
  • Data Warehouse / Data Modelling (Kimball)
  • Prepare high-quality data for statistical tools
  • Collaborate with statistical modelers on filtering, tagging, joining, parsing, and normalising data sets
  • Assist report analysts in pulling data from both sources and integrated modelled data
  • Identify opportunities to improve data analysis
  • Work with data stewards to resolve data quality issues
  • Design and build analytical models using strategic analytics and integration technologies
Requirements
  • Demonstrated technical data engineering skills and a methodical approach to engineering data
  • Experience in integrating and modelling complex data sets
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills to recommend innovative approaches to data management
  • Understanding of data modelling and master data management principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
