Principal Project Advisor

This QLD state department is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Project Advisor to support the Design Manager in overseeing multiple Consultant Design Teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing project activities, liaising with key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Design Manager to oversee design proposals and construction methodologies.
  • Lead and deliver minor projects within the Rockhampton Railyards precinct.
  • Support day-to-day project operations, including communication management, report writing, and financial oversight.
  • Assist in coordinating and drafting funding submissions.
  • Manage contract documentation related to leasing and construction.
  • Provide ad hoc support during the appointment of construction works managing contractors.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver project activities, ensuring adherence to timeframes and budgets.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including tenants, consultants, and contractors.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and milestones, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Produce project management artifacts to align with TMR and government standards.
  • Assist in managing tenants and the appointed property management contractor.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multiple design teams and projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • Experience in contract management and financial oversight.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel to Rockhampton on a regular basis
