The Opportunity

As a Senior Associate in our leading Band 1 Project Finance team based in Sydney, you will work with Partners Erin Wakelin and Elizabeth (Libby) Charlesworth, along with other leading Australian finance specialists in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, in a collaborative and cohesive national team.

Our Project Finance team is a market leader, advising on the most complex transactions in the energy transition, infrastructure, and mining sectors. The team advises on both domestic and international projects.

In the energy sector we work on traditional power and renewable energy transactions including wind, solar, energy-from-waste projects, battery energy storage systems, pumped hydro projects, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, as well as hydrogen projects.

On the infrastructure side you will be involved in the financing of projects, assets, and acquisitions in sectors such as transport, healthcare, natural resources, social infrastructure, and social and affordable housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in finance transactions from a top-tier Australian firm or international private practice environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with a practical mindset.
  • A collaborative and self-motivated approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and build strong relationships both internally and with clients.
  • A team player mentality, with the ability to develop and work in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment.
  • A strong academic record.

  • We offer a competitive salary range of AU$180,000 - AU$250,000 per annum, depending on experience.
