The Role

This role offers a unique blend of design and compliance, construction, and field work. You will be heavily involved in creating and documenting Engineering Briefs for new projects, scheduling design with outsourced engineers, and performing in-house engineering design. Responsibilities include project management and tracking, developing material take-offs, meeting with contractors, and checking installations for compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and document Engineering Briefs for new projects
  • Schedule design with outsourced engineers
  • Perform in-house engineering design
  • Manage and track projects
  • Develop material take-offs for quotation purposes
  • Meet with project contractors to discuss requirements
  • Check and certify installations for compliance
  • Research and develop new and existing products for optimized engineering design
  • Maintain an up-to-date drawing library of in-house products
  • Use FEA and advanced engineering software for seismic loading investigations
The Person
  • You will have experience as a Structural, Seismic, or Mechanical Engineer with at least 2-3 years of experience
  • Seismic knowledge is an advantage
  • Site inspections and design will be 50/50
  • Some travel around Australia is required, but not excessive
