Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at DRD Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and on schedule.
  • Track and monitor progress against planned progress and report any discrepancies to the Project Manager.
  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly progress reports.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure alignment with the Construction Methodology.
  • Provide technical support to assist multiple contracting companies and projects on site.
  • Manage technical aspects during project development stages, including scope development and design.
  • Liaise with Area Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors, Project Managers, Contractors, and Stakeholders on all relevant matters.
  • Attend Project Planning, Risk Assessments, and Kick-off Meetings.
  • Facilitate Weekly Team Meetings.
  • Participate in Critical Control Monitoring, Live Infrastructure Assessments, and Team-based Risk Assessments for all projects.
  • Ensure Commissioning Plans are prepared and approved.
  • Coach and conduct Field Leadership.
  • Participate in incident investigations.
  • Ensure BMS obligations are met.
  • Ensure Technical Query (TQ) management is adhered to across all projects.
  • Ensure Non-Conformance Management (NCR) is adhered to across all projects.
  • Ensure Project Close-out (MDR) is completed for all projects.
  • Ensure Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) management is adhered to across all projects.
  • Ensure Handovers for infrastructure are prepared for relevant Stakeholders and executed after commissioning is completed.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree qualified in an engineering or tertiary discipline.
  • Experience working with a multi-discipline team within the Resources sector.
  • Contractor site experience.
  • Proven ability to supervise a number of concurrent projects to completion within schedule and quality standards with focus on SMP competencies.
