The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Team Lead to encourage and support a team of Warehouse Assistants to ensure day-to-day success. This role suits someone who can provide guidance and direction to the team and loves to be hands on - working alongside the team to ensure cartons are broken down, labelled and staged for our Delivery Professionals to deliver.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team onsite to ensure safe and productive work practices.
- Actively participate in all warehouse activities including picking, labelling and staging deliveries.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) and Safety Protocols are upheld by the team.
- Build and foster a positive culture with the team.
- Identify pain-points or areas of inefficiency and collaborate with the relevant teams to design, build, and execute process improvement projects.
About You
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (using manual handling processes) and operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jack.
- Strong and proven ability to lead and direct employees.
- Solid understanding of safe manual handling practices and WHS Practices.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and highly motivated with a flexible and adaptable attitude for our diverse environment.
- Experience working within the transport/warehouse/logistics industry.
