Job Title: Kennel Attendant

Description:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at a private kennel facility in Perth, Australia. This exciting opportunity is for an animal lover who wants to make a difference in the lives of dogs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Feeding and medicating animals with care and attention to detail.
  • Cleaning kennels and drains on a daily basis to ensure a clean and healthy environment for the animals.
  • General cleaning and restocking of cupboards in the kitchen to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
  • Attending to laundry duties to keep the facilities clean and tidy.
  • Walking dogs to provide them with exercise and socialization.
  • Preparing and distributing enrichment activities to stimulate the animals' minds and bodies.
  • Providing socialisation and in-pen training to help the animals become well-adjusted and confident.
  • Bathing dogs to keep them clean and comfortable.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Minimum 1-year experience professionally working with dogs (daycare, boarding, shelter).
  • A solid understanding and ability to read canine behavior.
  • Basic dog handling skills (desirable).
  • Any certificates or qualifications in animal studies are desirable but not required.
