Senior Emergency Department Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Emergency Department Specialist to join our team at the Limestone Coast Local Health Network. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and clinical leadership.
About the RoleThis role will involve leading a multidisciplinary team in the Emergency Department, providing outstanding clinical services to patients, and ensuring exceptional care standards. You will be responsible for supporting inpatients during clinical deterioration, actively participating in teaching, quality management, and research activities.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Excellence: Provide expert medical care to Emergency Department patients, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Crisis Management: Deliver high-quality medical care for inpatients experiencing clinical deterioration after hours, including Code Blue and Code Black situations.
- Professional Standards: Adhere to regional, hospital, and departmental policy manuals and documents, and maintain alignment with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine standards.
- Education and Training: Engage actively in the teaching of trainee medical officers, interns, medical students, and nursing and allied health professionals.
- Quality and Safety: Participate in clinical audits, quality, safety, and clinical risk management activities to continually improve patient care standards.
- Research and Development: Contribute to research initiatives and continuous medical education to advance knowledge and practices in Emergency Medicine.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and appropriate specialist qualifications, as well as registerability with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range of $459,568 - $598,211 per annum, as well as a range of benefits, including access to flexible working hours, professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive remuneration package. Relocation reimbursement of up to $13,000 may be available to those relocating for this opportunity.
