Job Opportunity:


Home Assessor Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Home Assessor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and reporting on damages, collaborating with our panel of home repairers to determine the best repair methods, and ensuring exceptional customer service levels.


Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Accurately report on building damage to domestic insured properties, adhering to policy coverage guidelines.
  • Develop and provide accurate scopes of works for rectification works to be carried out on insurable events.
  • Support claims teams by reviewing expert reports, offering technical advice and recommendations on policy coverage.
  • Determine and advise on the most effective method of repair for the building.
  • Embody company values and maintain high customer service expectations; conduct regular customer satisfaction checks related to building repairs.
  • Manage and coordinate projects on complex or large loss claims.
  • Maintain consistent adherence to key performance measures (KPIs).
  • Conduct virtual/desktop assessments and triage; comply with statutory, industry, and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel may be required for catastrophic events.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing quality building work and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of building methodology and techniques.
  • Ability to produce accurate and detailed scopes of works.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Experience in managing, coaching, and appraising builders and construction teams.
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with builders and contractors.
  • Insurance experience is highly desirable, although not essential.
