The role of Audit Portfolio Manager is crucial in supporting the Executive Audit Manager and the Internal Audit Leadership Team in designing a risk-based annual audit plan.
This involves leading a team to deliver quality internal audits that provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment and insights across the primary portfolio of Banking.
Key Responsibilities:- Contributing to the development of the Suncorp internal audit plan, specifically focusing on the development of the Internal Audit program for the portfolios to which the role aligns.
- Responsibility for portfolio management activity, including resource, schedule and financial management, delivery management and management of co-source providers.
- Delivering the Internal Audit program for their portfolios through overseeing the performance of concurrent end-to-end audits, project reviews and special ad hoc reviews within their portfolios.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for directly leading more complex audits, analyzing and reviewing management action plans to ensure that risks will be controlled within the Board's tolerance levels, and monitoring the status of audit issues for the portfolio and the progress of agreed management action plans.
They will also contribute portfolio-specific content for inclusion in periodic reporting to the Board Audit and Risk Committees, take responsibility for the effective completion of the CPS220 work programs and insights relevant to their portfolios, and provide portfolio-specific input in relation to Internal Audit's participation in the QPR process.
Requirements:- A degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or Business; relevant qualifications from professional bodies such as IIA, ICAA, or CPA will be regarded but not mandatory.
- Extensive relevant experience in the portfolio-specific industry, typically upwards of ten years.
- Excellent leadership capability with a proven track record of leading and developing high performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of the portfolio-specific industry (and the portfolio itself) is mandatory, including a deep understanding of the key risks facing the sector.
- Strong demonstrated commercial acumen and knowledge of the relevant regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of the requirements of the Standards for Professional Practice of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Our goal is to provide independent assurance and drive insights and efficiencies. We strive to maximise risk coverage and continue to develop our people to the benefit of all our stakeholders.
