We are currently seeking a dedicated and team-orientated Machine Technician to join our maintenance team at Austube Mills in Acacia ridge. As a key member of our team, you will have support and autonomy in managing the breakdown and preventative maintenance for the manufacturing and distribution site.

The operational team is highly safety-focused and process-driven, and we have a great culture while improving the site.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execution of preventative and breakdown maintenance;
  • Troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • Providing timely feedback via the maintenance management system;
  • Liaison with the production team and other trades in the workshop;
  • Completion of all tasks safely and to a high quality;
  • Working on shift as required.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic candidate who can demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • Hold relevant mechanical trade qualification;
  • Possess exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skills;
  • Have a proactive approach, whilst holding safety, customers, and teamwork as core values;
  • Crane operation, SAP experience, Forklift Licence, and other tickets will be highly regarded;
  • Confident communicator who can work unsupervised;
  • Experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics would be advantageous;
  • Ideally background in Heavy industry or Steel manufacturing environments.
