Job Title: Enterprise Windows Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-class Windows Standard Operating Environment (SOE) images aligned to industry-standard security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build standardized Windows SOE images that meet ISM / Essential Eight / ISO 27001 standards.
  • Packaging and deploying applications using Microsoft Intune and/or Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • Manage Intune/Endpoint policies, compliance, Conditional Access, baselines, Autopilot, application and update rings.
  • Lifecycle management and patching: Provisioning, configuration, monthly patching, and Windows version upgrades with minimal disruption.
  • Security controls: Implementing BitLocker, Defender policies, hardening, and secure baselines aligned to public-sector standards.
  • Automation: Utilizing PowerShell to automate builds, configurations, and remediation.
  • Troubleshooting: L3 escalation for SOE, application, and deployment issues; clear runbooks/documentation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working with teams and supporting non-Windows endpoints when required.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Windows Endpoint Management/SOE engineering.
  • Proven SOE build, application packaging, and Intune deployment expertise; MECM/SCCM a plus.
  • Strong skills in PowerShell, GPO/baselines, Defender, BitLocker, and public-sector compliance exposure (ISM/E8/ISO).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Australian citizenship with active NV1 (or higher) security clearance is mandatory.
