We are seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in General Practice to join our team at Singleton District Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide primary care general practice services and contribute to the coverage of the emergency department.
Key Responsibilities- To assist in the provision of admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as determined and required by HNELHD
- To attend and be available during rostered work hours and whilst on-call, including clinical handover, clinical supervision, teaching and for emergency and routine care as determined and required by HNELHD
- To provide education and research as determined and required by HNELHD
- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners / Australian College of Rural Remote Medicine, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
- Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice
- Evidence of being a scholar, maintains medical professional development and has the ability to assist other staff, including trainees in the acquisition and development of knowledge
- Evidence of being a skilled communicator, including both oral and written skills, communicating with patients, students, other health professionals and the public

- This role is suitable for a mid-senior level Visiting Medical Officer with experience in General Practice
- The successful applicant will be based in the Singleton region and will be granted admitting privileges in General Practice to support after hours and emergency department presentations as part of an on-call roster
