Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in driving our quality assurance strategy.

The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to food safety. As a Quality Assurance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

You will oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards. Your expertise in HACCP, GMP, GFSI, and other relevant food safety standards and regulations will be essential in driving our quality assurance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of the QMS to ensure its effectiveness and compliance.
  • Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and train the quality assurance team to ensure a high level of competency and performance.
  • Identify areas for quality improvement and implement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, inspections, and audits.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that all quality assurance activities adhere to safety and sanitation standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the seafood and/or meat processing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GFSI, and other relevant food safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
