Job Title:

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Team Member to join our busy kitchen team in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard.
  • Pre-service kitchen preparation, including ordering and receiving stock.
  • Preparation of all ingredients and cooking menu items to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen workspace at all times.
  • Work closely with the kitchen manager to achieve set production levels and manage kitchen wastage.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and place orders as necessary.
  • Brief front-of-house staff on menu items and allergens.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Kitchen Assistant or similar role in a café or food retail environment.
  • Experience managing stock control and costs.
  • Food safety supervisor certificate.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Availability: Available Monday to Friday for early morning shifts, 20 hours per week.
