Advanced Medical Practitioners Needed for General Medicine

Our hospital in western Brisbane seeks experienced medical professionals to join their team as General Medicine Registrars / PHOs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level medical care under senior staff supervision
  • Document clinical information accurately and concisely
  • Ensure discharge summaries and correspondence are completed promptly
  • Conduct interviews, examinations, and identify clinical problems
  • Arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment, and discharge as directed by the consultant
  • Assist with surgical procedures and outpatient clinics as directed by the Consultant
  • Support junior and senior medical staff as required
  • Participate in clinical meetings and after-hours shift roster as required
  • Assist with teaching junior medical staff and participate in continual professional development

Essential Requirements:

  • Fully registered or eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with APRHA
  • Current experience relevant to the position of General Medicine Registrar / PHO
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster including weekends, nights, and public holidays
  • Proven 'in charge' experience
  • Evidence of involvement in continuing professional development
  • Proven reliability in work within personal level of expertise and seeking assistance as needed from senior staff
