Job Summary

This is a part-time position at Costco Wholesale Moorabbin, offering 24 hours of work per week. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekend work and varying shifts from 9am to 9pm.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Welcome and communicate with members and potential members, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Answer questions, resolve problems, and explain membership, warehouse, and credit programs.
  • Process new memberships and maintenance, keying information into the computer and maintaining logs and paperwork.
  • Follow safety and security procedures, verifying identity and business information for membership.
  • Collect membership dues via check, cash, or debit/credit terminal and issue receipts.
  • Issue membership cards using the automated card printer and temporary cards by researching membership information.
  • Key credit applications and maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Assist at the refund counter or with marketing as needed, maintaining a clean department and stocking forms and supplies.
Position Requirements
  • Communication: Articulate information effectively and actively listen to employees, members, and managers.
  • Member Service: Demonstrate a professional demeanor and unselfishly serve others while following company procedures.
  • Self-Motivated: Prioritize tasks, multi-task, and adhere to deadlines while working efficiently and independently.
  • Team Player: Cooperate well with various personalities and individuals to accomplish business goals.
  • Flexibility: Adjust positively to changes in direction or assignment and comply with new programs and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education/Training: High school certificate or higher.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Responsible Service of Alcohol preferred but not essential.

The estimated salary for this position is AU$25-30 per hour, based on industry standards and the location of the job. This amount may vary depending on experience and other factors.
