Ahrens, a leading manufacturer of water storage tanks, seeks an experienced Senior Structural Estimator to join their team in Bellevue, WA.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Estimator with expertise in structural steel and sheet steel estimating for the manufacturing/fabrication industry. This role is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and compliant package estimates for commercial clients, as well as liaising with engineering and compliance departments to ensure all aspects of submissions meet specified documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with design teams to ensure project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Review preliminary specifications and drawings to determine scope of works and prepare Bills of Quantities and/or cost plans.
- Ensure all tasks and plans align with legislation, regulations, and services requirements.
- Prepare tender submission to the client in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Maintain knowledge of innovative construction techniques to provide best solutions to clients.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in structural steel and sheet steel estimating for manufacturing/fabrication industry.
- Solid understanding of welded products and the engineering process of producing fabricated steel products.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering/architectural drawings and scope of works.
- Ability to create complex quoting tools to suit business needs.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competitive salary: $80,000-$120,000 per year based on experience.
