The role also includes supervising designated team members and is structured as a part-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and effective decision-making abilities.
- Actively participate in emergency situations, showcasing competency in Code scenarios.
- Engage in clear communication with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders.
- Monitor and document patient behavior while assessing patient outcomes.
- Operate medical equipment competently and safely.
- Conduct diagnostic tests within the defined scope of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Completion of a Diploma or Degree from an accredited College/University, with a preference for a BScN.
- Relevant specialized certifications and training as required by the area of expertise.
- Certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP.
- PALS/ENCP Certification.
- Completion of TNCC/ATLS and CTAS courses.
- Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias and Defibrillation Certifications.
- 15 Lead ECG Interpretation Certification.
- Preferred completion of a Critical Care Course.
- Preferred CNA Emergency Nursing Certification.
- Preferred Maternal Newborn Course.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner software and related hardware is preferred.
- Ability to perform with a high degree of physical and mental effort.
Compensation: As per ONA salary scale
