Job Summary:

Programmed is seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator/Machine Operator to join our team in a Distribution & Manufacturing environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating forklifts, manual handling of large fiber cement products, and performing various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate 8 to 12 tonne forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Manual handling of large fiber cement products up to 6 meters long
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles and containers
  • Running and operating various purpose-built machinery
  • General laboring and housekeeping duties

Requirements:

  • Valid forklift license with previous experience is essential
  • Machine operating experience is highly regarded
  • Previous experience in a Storeman/Warehouse role is highly advantageous
  • Willingness to complete various manual handling tasks in a safe manner
  • Industry knowledge - Fibre cement - is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Current and valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to complete 12-hour shifts rotating
