Job Description:

As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing new business opportunities through face-to-face sales calls, telesales, and onsite guest relations activities.

This role involves a range of exciting responsibilities, including:

  • Executing Event Functions: You will perform duties related to functions, special events, and F&B services, providing outstanding owner and guest service while maintaining excellent telephone manner techniques.
  • Resort Operations: You will become knowledgeable about the local area and ensure all resort paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Culinary Promotions: You will design and implement inspiring culinary promotional programs for our guests.
  • Marketing Initiatives: You will develop and execute marketing initiatives for conferences and events in collaboration with our annual budget.
  • Lead Generation: You will contact and develop potential leads, meeting targets set in the budget in association with the General Manager.
  • Internal and External Communication: You will create internal and external correspondence, ensuring clear, concise communication within time restrictions.
  • Client Deliveries: You will deliver the venue's product to potential clients through quotations, site inspections, and sales information regarding venues.
  • Trade Show Representation: You will prepare and represent the Hotel at required Exhibitions and Trade shows.
  • Front Office Support: You will support the Front Office with all aspects of Administration.
  • Cash Handling: You will perform cash and electronic banking duties.
  • Guest Registration: You will perform Check In & Registration of Guests as required.
  • Relationship Building: You will maintain relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Venue Promotion: You will promote the venue to clients, working with the Front Office to meet occupancy projections.
  • Staff Management: You will select and induct suitable food and beverage/function staff in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: You will identify and facilitate staff training and development requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Event Planning Experience: Previous experience in event planning, execution, and coordination is highly desirable.
  • Customer Service: A strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service is vital.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills are required.
