Financial Lines Claims Professional

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Claims Advocate. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile claims within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide detailed analysis and advice on complex financial lines claims, including issues of construction, claim characterisation, interpretation, and exclusions.
  • Conduct urgent reviews and develop tailored claim strategies for high-profile, litigated, or large loss matters requiring immediate action.
  • Engage with brokers, clients, legal counsel, and insurers to coordinate claim responses, mitigate losses, and set clear expectations.
  • Maximise client coverage outcomes through comprehensive analysis of all relevant coverages, providing strategic guidance.
  • Mentor internal staff on legal and coverage complexities, and assist in preparing detailed correspondence, submissions, and site inspections.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A legal degree with 5+ years PQE, preferably with experience in private practice.
  • Proven technical expertise in managing complex financial lines insurance claims.
  • Ability to independently manage a range of high-value claims while maintaining high-quality customer service.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy construction, exclusions, and legal considerations in claims management.
