Expert Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Expert Quantity Surveyor to join our Data Centre team in Sydney.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned quantity surveyor to lead and manage data centre projects from conception to completion. As an Expert Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on cost management, planning, and estimating to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale data centre projects, with a strong background in cost estimation, planning, and contract administration. You will be required to work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all aspects of the project are managed effectively.
Responsibilities- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs
- Manage and coordinate the activities of multiple stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors
- Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement risk management strategies
- Prepare and submit reports to clients, including project status updates and financial statements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in quantity surveying or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on data centre projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
- Proficiency in cost estimation and planning software, including Cost X
