HIPPY Program Overview

The HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) program is an early learning network that aims to support families with young children. Our HIPPY Mentor role is designed to provide peer support and deliver HIPPY to families through practising activities with them.

HIPPY Mentor Role

The HIPPY Mentor is employed to visit families, role-play activities with Parent/Carers during scheduled visits, participate in fortnightly training and regular staff meetings, and model expected group etiquette and positive engagement to Parents/Carers and children.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a current HIPPY Parent/Carer or have completed the program in the last 12 months, have interest and enthusiasm in supporting other families, and possess good oral and written communication skills that will support program delivery.
