Consulting Practice Leader

Job Description:

The Manager, Consulting Services plays a pivotal role as a key practice leader in providing expert guidance and development support to the Consulting management team.

This individual will collaborate closely with the sales team on sales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work. They will also work alongside Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight responsibility for projects across the practice.
  • Identification and mitigation of project risks, along with the development of solutions and strategies.

Sales Support

  • Support in the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Assistance in recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications.
    • Fostering high customer satisfaction levels through team and individual performance.
    • Ability to establish credibility with clients and within the company; build consensus and achieve goals through influence.

People Development

  • Mentorship and coaching role.
  • Analysis of team skills and provision of cross-training to maintain teams' ability to staff projects appropriately.

Performance Management

  • Establishment of direct reports' goals and objectives during the bi-annual review process.
  • Direction of the collection of performance feedback from customers and engagement/project managers on a quarterly basis or upon completion of project for your entire team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possession of 3-5 years of Workday (or other ERP) Consulting implementation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience leading a virtual team.
  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast-paced work environments.
  • Ability to work well within and across teams to achieve results.
  • Possession of sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.
