Early Childhood Education Professional

The role of an Early Childhood Teacher at Fairfield City Council involves working with children aged 0-5 years to meet individual programming needs as part of a dynamic team. Our philosophy is centered around play-based learning pedagogy that is fun, engaging, child-centred, and nurtures the development of the holistic child.

We believe in delivering best practice in the Early Education and Care Sector. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality pedagogical programming integrating the Early Years Learning Framework, the Education and Care Services National Regulations, and the National Quality Standards.

This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve exceptional outcomes for children. A key aspect of this role is contributing to a culture of excellence, leadership, and innovation within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality pedagogical programming integrating the Early Years Learning Framework, the Education and Care Services National Regulations, and the National Quality Standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve exceptional outcomes for children.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, leadership, and innovation within the team.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor of Teaching or Education (Early Childhood) as approved by ACECQA or working towards.
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Asthma Certificate, Anaphylaxis Certificate, and Working with Children Check as approved by ACECQA.
  • Accredited Teacher status and active work towards the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers for Provisional Teachers.
  • Meet the minimum prescribed requirements of a responsible person as per the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
