Job Title: Sydney Energy Leadership Role

We are seeking a talented leader to join our Sydney Energy team and drive business growth, performance, and development. As a key member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and growing our energy business, developing and achieving business plan objectives, and establishing effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.

This is a pivotal position that offers the opportunity to work on significant projects, lead technical and commercial direction, and identify new business opportunities. You will also be responsible for developing and mentoring a talented team of engineers, driving a safety culture throughout the business, and ensuring excellent client experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Sydney Energy team to achieve business growth and performance targets.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve GHD's Make It Real strategy.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with government and private sector clients and across GHD.
  • Build a strong business development and winning work culture, with effective positioning and pursuit of large and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead the technical and commercial direction on significant projects, identifying and creating business opportunities and effectively managing risks.
  • Develop and mentor a talented team of engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver outstanding results.
  • Drive a safety culture throughout the business and across our projects.
About You:

We are looking for a candidate who has a relevant degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent, commercially astute with strong project delivery experience, and high level market awareness and business development skills. You should be able to motivate and engage people, think strategically, and innovate continuously to deliver successful outcomes for our clients. Additionally, you should have strong communication and people management skills, be a hardworking and supportive leader, and comfortable with mentoring and technical supervisory responsibilities.
