Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans in Accounting and Economics.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction that aligns with VCE curriculum standards and promotes critical thinking.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and other assessment tools.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices and curriculum changes.
  • Support students' well-being and provide guidance on academic and career pathways.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Education, or a related field.
  • VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration.
  • Proven experience teaching VCE Accounting and Economics at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of VCE curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
